
Texas State University and the Bobcat Club invites and welcomes donors, students, alumni, fans and guests to enjoy tailgating prior to all home football games at Bobcat Stadium.
For fans to have the safest and most enjoyable experience possible, Bobcat tailgaters are asked to follow certain rules and regulations on game day.

Tailgating Sites
Bobcat Club Donor Lot Tailgating
Want to be closer to the action? Tailgate spaces are available in Bobcat Stadium's Lots 1, 2, 3 and 4 for Maroon Level and above Bobcat Club donors. You can enjoy tailgating with your fellow Bobcat Club members in this premium area located right by Bobcat Stadium.
Space will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. There is no reservation of spots prior to 6:00 PM on the day before a home game.
Bobcat Club RV Tailgating
Do you want to bring out the RV for a tailgate before the Bobcats kick-off? RV spaces are available in Bobcat Stadium West lot for Gold Level and above Bobcat Club donors. You can enjoy tailgating with your fellow Bobcat Club members in this premium area located right by Bobcat Stadium and HEB.
RVs are allowed to start entering the West lot at Bobcat Stadium after 6:00pm the night before a home football game. There is no reservation of spots. Tents are allowed in front of RVs. Vehicles are not allowed to be parked in the RV lot once lots open on game day.
Tent Village Tailgate Zone
Treat your employees or host a special group tailgate at a Texas State football game in our Tent Village Tailgate Zone. We offer great, all-inclusive pricing and setup. Just show up and enjoy.

Responsible Tailgating
To enhance your tailgate experience, we ask that you make every effort to be safe for you and those around you. Here are some tips to help ensure a fun, safe, and responsible time for everyone.
- Please drink responsibly.
- Pick up all trash around your tailgate.
- Recycle whenever possible.
- Dispose of ashes and hot coals properly.
- Stay hydrated!
- Respect others by not disrupting other tailgates with loud or vulgar audio.
- Follow all guidelines set by the tailgating committee, Texas State Athletics and Texas State University.
Rules Regulations
Texas State Bobcat Club members and guests can tailgate on a first-come, first-serve basis in Bobcat Stadium East and West side lots. We ask all individuals to adhere to the rules, regulations and policies below.
Food and Beverages
- Non-alcoholic beverages and food must be available if alcoholic beverages are present. Food and non-alcoholic beverages must be featured more prominently than alcoholic beverages.
- No glass containers, hard liquor, kegs, party balls, or group containers (i.e. common source) are allowed.
- Tailgating where alcohol is present may not begin in designated areas before 8:00 a.m. on game days.
- No alcohol consumption is allowed after kickoff and throughout the game.
Grilling
- Where BBQ grills are allowed, all BBQ grills, propane or otherwise, should be attended to at all times.
- All grills must have access to a fire extinguisher.
- Grills on trailers may not be driven onto green spaces.
- Hot coals must be doused and properly disposed of in specifically designated coal containers.
- Fires built on the ground and open fire pit devices are prohibited.
Sites and Set-ups
- The building of temporary structures including, but not limited to scaffolding, deer blinds, and other lookout structures are not permitted.
- Set-ups must be contained within the marked spaces.
- Driving lanes should be kept clear of tailgate set-ups at all times to allow access for emergency and university vehicles.
- There is no power available in any tailgate area. Generators are recommended.
- Tailgating WILL BE suspended 20 minutes prior to the start of the game until the end of the fourth quarter. Fans are strongly encouraged to begin making arrangements to suspend their tailgates approximately 30 minutes prior to kickoff so that they may enjoy pre-game festivities during the game and show their support for the Bobcats. At any given time after kickoff, a maximum of TWO (2) individuals may stay at their personal tailgating area to ensure that their property remains safe and contained.
Clean and Green
- Dispose of all trash and recyclable goods in designated receptacles located in the tailgating areas or pack it out. Recycle, trash and hot coal containers will be available throughout the lot.
- The disposal of grease, hot coals, or hazardous materials onto the grounds or in storm drains is prohibited.
- Failure to properly dispose of or remove trash will result in a revocation of tailgating privileges for the remainder of the season.
General Rules
- All tailgate participants are expected to abide by all state, city, NCAA, Texas State University and Texas State University System laws, policies, and rules. The possession and use of alcohol must be in compliance with all state, county, city, Board of Regents and university laws, ordinances or rules. Disruptive behavior, disorderly conduct, public drunkenness and similar types of behavior can result in referral to a university disciplinary committee and/or potential criminal prosecution.
- Texas State University is a tobacco-free campus. Please do not use tobacco products anywhere on campus.
- No pets are allowed.
