The Texas State Bobcat Ballpark will have a new look coming soon. The Baseball/Softball Complex was completed in 2009 for $10 Million. Additional renovations were added to Bobcat Ballpark in 2019, which included a $1 Million Classic HD 2' artificial turf installation, expanded dugouts, enhanced bullpens, a 14 X 26 ft video board, a new batters eye, and new outfield fences.
The Importance of the Bobcat Ballpark Player Development Center:

"The new Bobcat Ballpark Player Development Center will be instrumental in the success of Texas State baseball! The 2022 season was a special one, but we came up just short. This new player development center is what is necessary for us to take the next step, and get to Omaha. This project will be the first privately funded renovation project to Bobcat Ballpark and your support is vital. We need everyone to help us take that next step as a program and I can't thank our fans enough for their unwavering support of our team! " - Steven Trout
Future Renovations:
Pitching Lab
The brand-new 3,200 sq ft Texas State Pitching Lab will transform Texas State Baseball and allow pitchers to dive deeper into the game than ever before. Our state-of-the-art facility will allow us to perform a complete evaluation and analysis of a pitcher's mechanics to develop programs centered around mitigating risk of injury and performance enhancement. Our goal is to maximize player development through baseball and science to change the way pitching mechanics are analyzed and taught.
Technology and science will be at the forefront of our pitching lab. Force plates will be implemented to measure leg drive and landing forces. High-speed motion capture and slow-motion cameras will be installed to breakdown every movement by our pitchers. Trackman, will be utilized to measure location, trajectory and spin rate of baseballs from our pitchers.
.
Batting Cages
The new, fully-enclosed 4,000 sq ft batting cages will feature three custom shell net batting cages with sliding dividers that can open up to allow for fielding drills . Each batting cage will feature Trackman, which will be able to accurately measure the location, trajectory and spin of balls off the bat. This data will allow our coaches to analyze and perfect each player's swing.
Hospitality
This brand-new 700-2,000 sq ft hospitality area will feature chair back seating, catered hospitality suite for Bobcat Club donors and up to 400 additional seats. Guests in the box seats will be able to enjoy a hospitality area which includes food stations, snack bar, and premium bar access.
Field-Level Suites
Experience Texas State Baseball from a new view. Bobcat Ballpark will feature new Field-Level Suites down the third-base line. Field-Level Suites will feature amenities such as:
- Lounge style seating
- Catering menu
Baseball and Softball Locker Rooms
This new 2,000 sq ft Baseball and Softball Locker Rooms will be housed under the hospitality area down the third-base line. This facility includes player-of-the-year awards, info graphics displaying All Conference players, All Americans and professional players.
The renovation project to the Ballpark Player Development Center will be the first privately funded renovation project to Bobcat Ballpark. We need to continue to enhance our facility to compete at the national level. This renovation project will allow us to offer our fans the best possible experience while at Bobcat Ballpark and give our student-athletes every advantage on the playing field!
