Choosing Texas State and Its Impact
I chose Texas State as a young person coming out of high school based on my research of the degree offerings and the proximity to the hill country.

I believe that for everyone who experiences college life, their Alma Mater will always be a huge key to success in their life, and the impact Texas State had on my life was tremendous. The academic as well as social experiences that I encountered gave me the opportunity to carry that into adulthood and apply those skills in all stages of my career.

There are so many great things about Texas State that it is hard to name any one as my favorite.  To start, the sheer beauty of the campus and its uniqueness cannot be found anywhere else in the world.  Every alumnus shares in the pride that comes with knowing that we are the only university in Texas to graduate a United States President as well as the number one recording artist of all time. But the best thing so far is meeting all the new friends through social media as well as in the Bobcat Club.

Being Involved
I worked my way through college and I have come to a place in my life where I can afford to give back to the next generation. Through donating to the Bobcat Club, I can financially impact over 350 students working their way through college as student-athletes and I want to make sure they can achieve the opportunities that I did with a college degree.

I've always enjoyed the competitive nature of sports and I have a strong belief in supporting your own school and everything that it represents.  Which is why involvement runs deep, so much so that I have season tickets to every sporting event offered at Texas State and give as much support as I can to our women's as well as our men's athletic programs.

Texas State Academics
It has given me great pride to see the advancement the University has made academically as well. The growth in the master's degrees and doctoral programs is wonderful.  The quality and reputation of the faculty, the STAR park and the construction in the Engineering and Science buildings are also enhancing the stature and getting us closer to becoming a dedicated research university.


A Message to Fellow Bobcats
If you are currently in school come out and support your fellow students and your university by cheering on your favorite team. If you are an alumnus come back to the University and enjoy the success that we have accomplished in the last 10 years in all things involved with the school and everything involving the athletic programs. And lastly always remember that this is your school, and no one can take that away from you.
